I found out the difference between turtle and tortoise the other day, actually… Turtles have flippers, tortoises have feet.

I think you may have actually got the same model as me, I’m not sure. Mines called the TX2050EA or something (it’s different in the US and the UK). TBH, the only major difference (other than slightly improved hardware specs) that I can think of would be multi touch (the TX2 has it, mine doesn’t), which probably isn’t worth the £200 you saved. >< I hope whatever “hell” is gets better soon.
